[3-26-2006] New Villages will participate in the City of Austin’s Keep Austin Beautiful “Austin Clean Sweep” on Saturday, April 8th. We will meet at Dick Nichols Park at 9:00am and separate into groups to clean the park, the greenbelt, and other neighborhood common areas. Cleaning supplies will be provided thanks to Keep Austin Beautiful and its sponsors. In addition, after the cleanup, everyone is welcome to attend the Austin Clean Sweep party at Fiesta Gardens on Town Lake for free t-shirts, live music, rock climbing, and more. For additional details, please visit www.keepaustinbeautiful.org.

[3-23-2006] The Association is also pleased to announce that the second annual neighborhood wide garage sale will be held beginning at 9am on Saturday, April 22, 2006. Everyone is encouraged to set up sales in their own garages and driveways. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, make some extra money and do a little spring cleaning all at once. The sale will be advertised in the Austin-American Statesman in order to publicize the event and attract buyers, and we will also promote the sale by putting up signs throughout the New Villages.
